MDAA is honored and excited to announce the completion of our first Executive Program in Global Space and Defense Certificate Program, developed in partnership with the University of Southern California’s Price School of Public Policy and Viterbi School of Engineering. This academic year-long program was designed to educate senior leaders from the military, government, and industry at the intersection of public policy and engineering in the development of effective missile and space defense strategy and policy. It also explored the widening gap between theory and the practical application of National Security constructs in missile defense and space policy.
This world class first-of-its-kind program was a dynamic offering from some of the nation’s very best educators at USC, coupled with interaction and briefings from with senior government, military, and industry leaders, as well as site visits, and course work that explored policy and engineering challenges with unique and innovative solutions.
The class members were inspired, have become a cohort, and will have life-long access to mentoring and partnerships that will benefit their contributions to our nation and national security going forward.
This initial cohort was assembled and fought through the challenges of a Covid pandemic and historic world events that have upended our national security processes.
We are immensely proud of their efforts!
We are further honored and thankful that USC, our senior leader mentors and volunteers, and on-site supporter team have helped us contribute to make the world a safer place.
We look forward to rapidly build upon what we learned with this initial class to enhance all elements of this outstanding executive education certificate program, to include expanding the class size. MDAA moved the ball down the field in 2022 and the classes of the future will surely do even more!
