A US Army Tethered Persistent Surveillance System, Yuma Arizona

The United States Army awarded a 4-billion-dollar contract for dirigibles. We congratulate this strategic and tactical gamechanger of a mission for the United States Army for its vision and combat lethality to make our forces more lethal and protect our nation and allies.

MDAA’s core mission has led us to advocate and campaign for the addition of a dirigibles in our missile defense architecture. Three years ago, our USC SHIELD program began a capstone on it and released its capstone in January 2023. Two years ago, we created ATEOS at the University of Arizona to study Near Space driven from our USC SHIELD capstone on dirigibles..

Mission Statement

MDAA’s mission is to make the world safer by advocating for the development and deployment of missile defense systems to defend the United States, its armed forces, and its allies against missile threats.

MDAA is the only organization in existence whose primary mission is to educate the American public about missile defense issues and to recruit, organize, and mobilize proponents to advocate for the critical need of missile defense. We are a non-partisan membership-based and membership-funded organization that does not advocate on behalf of any specific system, technology, architecture or entity.
