The 2023 Huntsville Breakfast of Champions ceremony held in Huntsville, Alabama on August 9, 2023

We celebrated and highlighted our Missile Defense Champion community in Huntsville Alabama for the 21st time on August 9, 2023, at our annual kickoff Breakfast of Champions at the Army Space and Missile Defense Conference in Sweet Home Alabama. This is a tradition that has evolved and adapted to beat and win against the evolving growing missile threats to our Nation and the Western world. Our best weapon system is our people! And our people come first as they lead the coalition of the willing and the winning to establish, create, develop, grow, execute, and sustain integrated Missile Defense to help preserve our freedoms and status quo in the current World Order.  We are coming into a world heavyweight championship fight that will go 15 rounds and we just cannot get knocked out in the first-round because we didn’t have any defense or ability to take the body shots in the early rounds. Alabama is going to give us the weapon systems and the capacity to defend those first-round body shots from the Contender.

Looking back 21 years, the strategic landscape has changed significantly, and the magnitude of the threat we face today is much greater. With Taiwan and Ukraine, our Champion Community must come together with a sense of urgency to rapidly develop and deploy missile defense capabilities to support our Combatant Commanders and their Joint warfighters as they work to deter and defeat the threat. With this intent, alignment, and history, MDAA held our 21st Breakfast of Champions at the 2023 Space and Missile Defense Symposium in Huntsville, Alabama.
