The United States has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Israel of F15IA and F-15I+ Aircraft and related equipment for an estimated cost of $18.82 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on August 13. The Government of Israel has requested to buy up to 50 new F-5IA multi-role fighter aircraft, as well as Mid-Life Update modification kits for its existing 25 F-15I multi-role fighter aircraft.
