Whittier Daily News:
Parsons Corp. is pleased to announce its support—as part of the Northrop Grumman team—of the successful completion of the first flight test of the U.S. Army’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense, employing the IAMD Battle Command System (IBCS).
The recent test, conducted at White Sands Missile Range, N.M., resulted in the destruction of the targeted ballistic missile serving as a threat surrogate.
Parsons’ role on Northrop Grumman’s team included the design and development of algorithms and software used in the critical path for the IBCS flight test.
The IBCS is a critical component of the architecture needed to defend the U.S. against the threat of air and missile defense attacks, enabling the integration of externally developed sensors and shooters. Its successful test marks a milestone in the development of an effective national air and missile defense capability.
