Army Recognition:
The air defense system is based on an Anadolu Isuzu Seyit 8×8 truck. It includes a 35mm cannon, and 4 BOZDOĞAN or GÖKDOĞAN air defense missiles. The system includes a Fire Control Radar and a 4-array AESA radar. Tübitak Sage General Manager Gürcan Okumuş announced that there are studies on the use of GÖKDOĞAN and BOZDOĞAN missiles from land.
Aselsan has a second hybrid concept shared with the patent registration number 2021 011312. The firepower of this concept consists of 2 35mm cannons, 12 low-altitude air defense missiles and the İhtar Anti-UAV system. In this concept, which can be considered more loaded and costly, there is a MAR PESA search radar instead of 4 AESA radars.
While Turkey’s current low-altitude air defense architecture includes the rotating type MAR search radar on the AIC or HİSAR-A and the fire control radars on the Korkut vehicles, the new hybrid air defense system includes the search and fire control radars on the same vehicle. While the destruction capabilities are distributed to cover two different layers in the Hisar-A and Korkut systems, Aselsan’s hybrid air defense system alone covers both defense layers.
