Russian attacks across Southern and Eastern Ukraine leave multiple casualties

Russian strikes across southern and eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours have resulted in multiple casualties, extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, and power outages in several regions.

Kherson Region:
In Kherson, two people were killed and five others injured amid ongoing Russian drone attacks, airstrikes, and artillery shelling, the regional administration reported. More than 40 settlements were affected, including Berislav, Bilyaivka, Novoraysk, Kostyrka, Shevchenkivka, Antonivka, Kizomys, and the city of Kherson itself. Damage was reported to three multi-storey buildings, eight private homes, a farm, a cell tower, a water tower, a gas pipeline, and private vehicles.

Sumy Region:
A massive Russian strike on the energy infrastructure left parts of Sumy and the surrounding district without electricity, according to Oleg Hryhorov, head of the regional administration. Emergency services and utility crews are operating in reinforced mode, while critical infrastructure runs on backup power. Over the past day, Russian forces carried out 105 attacks across 33 settlements in the region, injuring two civilians. Damage included private homes, shops, warehouses, vehicles, and power lines.

Zaporizhzhia Region:
In Zaporizhzhia and Vilnyansk, 16 people were wounded following Russian airstrikes, artillery attacks, MLRS barrages, and drone strikes. The regional administration reported 642 strikes across 26 settlements, with 130 confirmed incidents of damage to homes, vehicles, and other infrastructure.
