Staff Sergeant Nicholas W. Power hails from Concord, NH. He is currently pursuing his BA Degree in Homeland Defense from the American Military University, with a graduation goal of 2016. He has a total of 15 years of service with a military education that includes Structured Self Development, Advanced Leader Common Core, Air and Missile Defense Crewmember Introduction to Space Fundamentals, Ground-based Midcourse Defense Operator, ATRRS Operator Course, Defense Hazardous Material/Waste Handling, Warrior Leadership Course, Airborne Training, Food Service Specialist, and United States Army Basic Training.

His military experience includes Weapons Operator for GMD and NCOIC of the Fire Direction Center; NCOIC for all FDC schools input and management, appointment by Battalion Commander; NCOIC for Aviation battalion schools and DTS entry/validation for one year over a hundred soldier members successfully attended schools; NCOIC of DUIC Reset/Refit Team for one year and one battalion’s worth of security forces sensitive equipment with all fully accounted for under my watch/signature; Team Leader and Back up squad Leader for Security force mission for route security and Quick Reaction force Element for one year in Iraq; NCPIC of maintaining Hasty/Tactical checkpoints for civilian and vehicular searches; First cook supervisor, equivalent to squad leader for assigned cooks in my section for success in many aspects of soldiering and mess hall assigned task supervision
