Roiling geopolitical tensions in Europe, the Middle East and the Pacific Rim are generating interest in Lockheed Martin Corp.’s (NYSE: LMT) high-altitude missile defense systems, a top executive said at the Association of the United States Army’s annual exposition in D.C.
The comments from Tim Cahill, vice president of integrated air and missile defense at Bethesda-based Lockheed — the world’s largest defense contractor — echo themes he touched on last year at the AUSA confab, during which thousands of government contractors converge to sell products and solutions to the U.S. Army.
