LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27 (UPI) — AECOM, a technical services firm, will continue to provide design, development and engineering services for U.S. Navy and Marine Corps advanced radar systems.

The work is being conducted for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division under a $45 million task order.

The order has a one-year base period of performance with four one-year options.

“Our team provides a unique and skilled set of subject matter experts to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Dahlgren Division,” said Randy Wotring, president of AECOM’s management services group. “We are excited to have been chosen as a prime contractor and look forward to continuing our partnership with the U.S. Navy under this task order.”

AECOM supports NSWC’s radar systems division, also known as Q40, in developing advanced missile defense radar, multi-function radar and dual-band radar. It also supports the Marines’ ground/air task-oriented radar.

Under the task order, AECOM will model, test, analyze and evaluate tactical fire control radars for mechanical, electrical and functional performance. It will also provide software experts to design, develop and maintain tactical computer programs, the company said.

Other services covered by the task order include program management, system integration and field testing.
